What is Raag?

Raag is the Sanskrit Word for Colour. Colour the World with Sound is a Raag.

A composition based on a scale, has specific ascent descent, important notes, a familiar sequence of the notes, slow introduction, a bit faster w/o table, then slow composition with tabla drums, and fast composition on tabla. It has a central core or the gat, followed by taans or runs/ improvisations.
